The Signal and Image Processing Lab (SIPL) at the Technion’s Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering is a leading center for research and teaching in diverse signal processing domains. Established in 1975, SIPL trains the next generation of engineers and tech leaders to tackle complex computational and data-driven challenges across diverse domains, including speech, audio, image, video, physiological signals and more. By combining deep mathematical foundations and algorithmic mastery with cutting-edge machine learning and deep learning techniques, we equip our students to solve complex real-world data challenges.

SIPL is deeply connected to Israel’s thriving high-tech ecosystem, conducting over 50 hands-on undergraduate projects each year, many in direct collaboration with industry partners and cross-disciplinary researchers. Our students showcase their outstanding work at prestigious conferences around the world, further underscoring our commitment to innovation and academic distinction.
